ISRAELI FASHION DESIGNERS SHINE AT ISRAEL IN THE GARDENS

A celebration that has taken place annually for over 30 years, Israel in the Gardens is the single largest annual celebration of Israel Independence Day in the Bay Area. In recent years this event has attracted approximately 13,000 attendees; it is a day for people of all ages -- adults, children, teens, college students, young adults and seniors – to join together and celebrate.

Sure to thrill style-conscious Bay Area residents, Israel in the Gardens will feature the first of its kind fashion show, introducing the community to an integral part of Israel’s culture and further illustrating Israel’s authentic flavor. 15 renowned Israeli fashion designers will grace the main stage with a mixture of elegantly styled and urban-chic original designs. Casual and formal wear for men, women and children will be modeled by 60 volunteers from Bay Area Jewish organizations and the Russian and Jewish communities.

Both seasoned designers whose pieces are currently available in Bay Area boutiques and younger companies who are being introduced to the Northern California fashion market for the first time will be featured. At Israel in the Gardens, information on the featured designers will be available, along with a flyer containing the names of 35 regional boutiques that currently carry their clothing. Additionally, some of the modeled pieces will be available for purchase.

The participating Israeli fashion designers include:
Rina Zin, Ella Gonen, Dafna Ran, Josef Hayo, Ronen Chen, Kedem Sasson, Michka /Pilpel, Sigal, Dekel, Reuma, Chaos Men’s Wearr, Amelli, Holly, Michal Zaiden
